Dr Petersen-Jones was kind enough to 'talk' with me, as well as Steve and Karen Willson, via skype about PRA and the ongoing research study at Michigan State University. The first part of this discussion focuses on what is PRA, the signs and symptoms of PRA, and how it is inherited. This is great information for all PON owners, whether you are breeding or not.
Dr Petersen-Jones also details the purpose of this ongoing study, and the benefits to all of us as PON owners. It is very easy to get involved in this study by doing a CERF exam on your PON, and submitting a check swab ( you can get one from me, or write directly to Kristi Aybar, BS, LVT, Research Coordinator. It is emphasized in this video that all information is confidential.
